Remo Agovic is an economist with a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Zurich, specializing in economic policy and development. His research focuses on the dynamic intersection between environmental change and human adaptation. His Master's thesis examined the effects of drought on coffee production in Brazil and its implications for plantation workers, laying the foundation for his ongoing exploration of how communities and economies adapt to changing climatic conditions. As a co-lead of the td-net project “Future of Work,” he gained significant interdisciplinary research experience, fostering collaborations across diverse fields surrounding labor market polarization. He is particularly interested in exploring how humans adapt to climate crises, with a focus on developing effective policies and fostering understanding to support sustainable and resilient futures.
