Phetsaphone Thanasack is a PhD student in Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of Bern, contributing to transdisciplinary research and stakeholder engagement with the Wyss Academy for Nature’s Land Systems and Sustainability Transformations team. With over a decade of experience in applied research and development in Laos, her work focuses on environmental science, ecosystem service assessment, sustainable land governance, and land use planning in dynamic rural landscapes. She also serves as a Research Scientist at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) in Laos, leading studies on ecosystem services, biodiversity governance, land-based investments, and agrobiodiversity, while coordinating national research networks and policy engagement.
