Dr. Marie-Estelle Demory is a climate scientist with extensive experience in climate modelling. Her research has focused on linking global and regional climate information to better understand the drivers of water cycle variability and change, including extreme events. She contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Sixth Assessment Report, Chapter 10 ‘Linking global to regional climate change’. She currently leads the Interdisciplinary Water Scarcity Project, which aims at providing scientific knowledge for restoring water resources and biodiversity in the Ewaso Ng’iro basin in Kenya. She is affiliated with the Climate and Environmental Physics division at the Physics Institute and with the Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Bern.
